The Cooperative Research Centre is a program funded by the Australian Commonwealth Government. It was launched in May 1990, and was established to strengthen collaborative links between industry research organisation, educational institutions and government agencies. Since 1991 over 60 Cooperative Research Centres have been established across six diverse research fields.
